CONVERSATIONS...

We placed this page here to offer you our individual congregation member's  thoughts and considerations on why they joined Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.  We hope these thoughts help you find comfort in knowing that you are not alone in your spiritual search...

    Moved To Area...

We were looking for a Christian based church to relocate our family to upon our arrival into this part of the state.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church was located close to where we moved into.  Visited, liked the people, got involved and stayed.

Looked for a similar church doctrine to that of our previous home.  Found it at Holy Trinity.

 Birth...

We wanted our child baptized.   Our religious upbringing had emphasized the importance of baptism and having a solid Christian base to grow in.

We had a baby and wanted it baptized.

Baptism.

Children Growing Up...

We had committed to raising our children Christian and had not been attending church besides holidays.

Kids were growing up with no religious structure or true faith understanding... Came time for confirmation so we committed to finding a solid Christian faith based church... Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and Pastor Barker brought our family back into the "flock".

Our children knew who Santa was, but had no idea what Christmas was about.  Since joining Holy Trinity we have a deeper sense of understanding that Christmas is a joyous time of year but not just about presents.

Marriage...

We were looking for a church to get married in.

We were having some problems with our marriage and looked for a spiritual answer.

We were getting married and looking for a church.

Problem...

I was unhappy with the direction my life was taking.  I had been brought up in a church but not taking the time and blaming busy schedules kept me away for many years of my life...  I decided  one day to change directions and rejoin the church.  I still have problems but none of them seem as over whelming as they did.   Sharing my problems (and joys) with God has relieved an amazing amount of stress.

I was looking for forgiveness and found it through God and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.  Weekly serving of the Eucharist gives me strength and comfort in dealing with the world and its problems.

Celebration...

I went to church for Easter and Christmas.  Found there was more to being Christian than that.

Health Issue...

My health was failing and I was looking for comfort.

I had a parent who was ill and was concerned for their spiritual well being.  I found peace and comfort in bringing the issue up here.

Death...

I lost a friend and realized that life is only a hollow existence without God.  I find solace in knowing that my friend was deeply faithful and trust that I have learned from his excellent example.

Recently a family member passed leaving behind a young wife and a grieving family.  The strength of his wife from her faith in God focused me into committing to my faith to be able to  find the same in times of loss.
